Frequently Asked Questions
What is the minimum project size you accept?
We typically work on projects from £10,000 upwards. However, for design consultancy and 3D modeling services, we can accommodate smaller briefs. Contact us to discuss your requirements.
How long does a typical arch commission take?
A residential stone arch typically takes 4–8 months from initial survey to completion. Complex multi-arch gateways or barrel vaults may require 12–18 months depending on stone sourcing and site conditions.
Do you work outside the United Kingdom?
Yes. We have completed projects across France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Portugal and the UAE. Our Tuscan workshop handles European fabrication, and we have a Gulf region liaison office in Abu Dhabi.
What stone types do you work with?
We work exclusively with natural stone — marble, granite, limestone, travertine, sandstone, basalt, slate and porphyry. We source from certified quarries across Italy, Scotland, India, Portugal and the UK.
Can you restore an existing historic arch?
Yes. Heritage restoration is one of our core disciplines. We are registered with English Heritage and Historic Environment Scotland, and work under conservation-grade standards using lime mortar and period techniques.
Do you require planning permission for stone arches?
This depends on size, location and listed status of the property. We assist all clients through the planning process and have established relationships with local planning authorities and conservation officers across the UK.
